Cute June

Kids are so tech savy these days. June now likes to get my iPhone and take photos. It's nice that it's possible to do that even with the phone locked. Here are 2 of her latest. The one on the left is my favorite because you can see her looking at the phone as she takes the photo.

June went potty and earned a bracelet. It only goes in phases...she's not 'ready' to be potty trained yet. She is 100% capable but lacks the drive. Oh well. We're in no hurry.

December Fun

We went to a little party (ugly sweater + white elephant gift exchange) and trekked through the winter snow to get there. The kids were set with rain covers and we even wore sunglasses with clear lenses since the wind was blowing the snow so hard. It was a fun outing and worth the trek.

June travels in style. She LOVES "Bunny" and fell asleep with the Teddy Grahams in her hand.

Our little guy watching the Lion's game with us

Ward Christmas party with Logan, the elf (June's Rudolph nose flashed)

Waiting in line (for like 8 minutes) to see Santa at Macy's. June liked the dancing ballerina teddy bear the most.

Visiting Santa at Macy's. We used an 'express pass' to avoid the 1 hour line - great choice with a 2 year old. When I asked June the day before if she wanted to sit on Santa's lap she matter-of-fact told me "No." And she didn't. This was as close as she'd get to him. I have Anson in the baby carrier and June on my lap.

After visiting Santa at Macy's we swung over to visit Clint at his office. June had a great time there. They have some fun bean bags and a skate board.

Our friends from Colorado came and visited New York and brought this sweet had for Anson. We LOVE it!!!

Another Look-Alike Post

When I put the onesie on Anson this morning I remembered dressing June in it. I opened her first year album and lo and behold there is a photo of her in it. Try to guess again. In one photo the baby is 1 month and in the other photo the baby is 6 weeks.

So I realized as I was making this post that Gabi is in the photo---that's probably a dead give-away who is who. Oh well. I feel like they look more alike in person than in photos anyhow. They definitely look like siblings though. Anson probably has a few pounds on his sister at this point even though they are less than 2 weeks apart.

Look alike?

I think June and Anson look very similar (as babies). I wish I would have taken the photo with a smaller gap (one child is 10 days and the other child is 5 weeks in the photo.

Do you know who is who?

(June is 10 days so it goes June, Anson, June, Anson). I'll have to try again at some other age. June wears mostly pink so it'll be hard to do the same outfit thing...

NYSE Tree Lighting

One of the perks of living so close to the NY Stock Exchange is we get to enjoy their Christmas tree. We (June, Anson and June's friend Abbie) ventured out last Tuesday night to see the lighting of the tree.
NYSE (sorry they're all iPhone photos...)

Santa was there and brought a candy cane for June and Abbie

I let the girls eat them and get very sticky. All part of the experience, right?

The tree before

Before & After. The funny thing is this was inadvertent. I was looking through my phone photos and amazingly had these two photos. Looks like I planned it.

The girls were VERY excited when the lights turned on. I was surprised how much fun they had. They also loved the music, especially when they sang "Jingle Bells."

More Winter Fun

June loves playing with her little people. She made me a sandwich and then brought me the wise me to excitedly tell me how they brought presents to Baby Jesus. They brought him "gold, frankincense and a pony."

June likes being like mommy: Carrying her baby and other stuffed animals in the baby bjorn, 'feeding' all of her animals by giving them milk (she stuffs them in her shirt), changing diapers, patting backs, etc.

Still a favorite place to hide...

Cute little man is growing too fast

Enjoying the Christmas tree in our lobby on the way to preschool. We touch the ornaments each time we go by and say, "Bye Christmas tree!"

A walk outside (the first day it snowed here). We went with grandma to just wander and ended up at the Castle Clinton.

Winter Fun

Seeing the Rockettes Christmas Show with mom. Curt stayed home with the kids so we had a fun time out.

June likes to help Anson wave "hello"

Anson's locks (hair looks like it will be blonde to me)

BIG sister in her new favorite dress (from Great - grandpa and Grandma Maw - she loves the owl pockets the most)

Anson's Blessing

Sunday December 1st

Daddy blessed Anson at church while our family was in town.

Anson work Curt's blessing outfit (shoes too). Meridee (Nana) sewed this outfit 30 years ago for Curt. So fun for it to fit and have Anson wear it!

Thanksgiving

Checking out the balloons the night before Thanksgiving. I didn't want to watch the parade from anywhere but a warm living room (if even that...I'm not much of a parade person). We did love the balloons by Central Park though!

Thanksgiving with the whole crew

Our traditional dinner

Clint and Chelsea also got engaged that week and got to tell us the whole story.

Anson in his awesome Jordan attire. It is a Calder boy tradition. These are from Gary and Heidi and we can't wait for them to actually fit (12mos)

Hanging out with a tired Grandma on Thanksgiving. She got up and watched the parade - front row - with all of the other temple missionaries.

Fun 3 generation Calder boy photo. Anson is the first Calder (boy) to carry on the name. Proud Grandpa.
