We went on a family road trip to the Poconos (in PA). I got a great deal for a family resort so we rented a car and took off. We were gone Tuesday morning through Saturday afternoon. Our trip was supposed to end on Friday but we had such a great time we extended it 1 night.
Listened to (and sang to) during the drive
Naptime in our room
Playing in the snow
Tubing (June was a little scared)
Ice skating on the pond
How Anson spent most of the vacation
The amazing swimming complex (this is such a small part of it. It was wonderful!)
June made a guitar at Arts & Crafts time and carried it ALL week singing. She had a lot of fans. She most often sang "Silent Night."
We entered the gingerbread wars contest. We arrived a few minutes late so they had us be our own group. The theme was "America." We got 1 slab of gingerbread and tickets to purchase frosting and candy. We had to incorporate doughnut holes and an apple into our project (secret ingredients).
Of 21 groups we won 1st place :) We have had a lot of gingerbread practice over the years as we make a house every year. Hooray for Mount Rushmore.
We ate leftovers one night. There was no way to heat it and I really preferred it warm. So ghetto...I don't know why I'm including it except that it is hilarious. The blowdryer did alright. A microwave is much better though.
Anson had a little cold when we left on Tuesday. It got worse and worse and worse. Neither he nor I slept at all on Thursday night. I was worried, he was working too hard to breathe...and we finally decided we needed to take him in. I debated all day Thursday how bad he actually was. On Friday about 6am we drove to the ER that was about 20 minutes away (of course there had been a snowstorm all night...glad Curt grew up driving in Utah snow).

Anson had a temperature (101.9) and bronchiolitis and tested positive for RSV :( Because he was still eating well and his sats were okay (like 93% I think?) they sent us home with a nebulizer/albuterol and said take care. I could be frustrated we went because he didn't need to be admitted...but the albuterol acutally made a big difference and I was able to stop worrying (we knew what was wrong and that he was on the uphill). Sometimes the unknown is the worst. The poor guy coughed SO hard and his lungs sounded terrible (I borrowed the EMT's stethoscope at the resort--hearing his lungs made me worry more than anything. He was so cheerful it was hard to believe he sounded so poor. I was glad he didn't have pneumonia.)
Fun fish nebulizer. He actually liked it.
Dessert on Valentine's (lunch when we got back from the ER...)
June's favorite activities: puppets after Arts & Crafts (pretending to sleep with them) and the toddler toy room.
June called this statue her "friend." He was in some random corner of the lobby and June ran to him and gave him hugs and held his hand every time.
