Trip to Utah: Namesake

June got to meet her great-grandma Mildred June Hurst Maw. They had so much fun together

We enjoyed eating and playing games with Grandpa and Grandma Maw. They still let me stay in the family even though I win "Mormon Bridge" when we play it. Grandma took second--go grandma :)

June also met great-grandma Ruth Josephine Barton Gatrell

We ate dinner with Grandpa & Grandpa Gatrell at their favorite restaurant (Chuck-a-Rama)

Curt and Isaac kept making the same faces. Buffet restaurants are dreams for 2-year-olds

Trip to Utah: Gatrells

We spent the last half of our trip with the Gatrells
We were so lucky to have the Lindbergs come from California while we were in Utah. Isaac has grown SO much! I told him to make a funny face for the picture and this is what he came up with.

We also got to see the Grant, Jill & Jane Ensign. Curt and Grant were roommates at BYU. They planned the first date [before my mission] that Curt and I went on. Funny enough, Grant and I went to high school together and were in the same APLit study group.

June loved all of Grandma Nita's toys. It was fun to see her play with the ones I played with (pretty sure that swan was Anna's. It was June's favorite)

And of course we ate way too much food when we were in the US. I've come to realize there are just as many things I'll miss from Switzerland though...we'll overeat when we visit Europe in the future too.

Our little Jujy Fruit is a doll

We got them just for her since it's one of her nicknames

Grandma and June love being together. They love to snuggle and sing together

June also loved meeting her cousins (all 13 of them...with one on the way [Kristin's])

Anna's kids loved making her laugh with "peek-a-boo"

Some of the girls (Allison, June, Taya, Erica, Elaina & Lauren)

Josie, the eldest grandchild, is sure growing up. She is always such a help with the younger kids. I remember when she was born...

Trip to Utah: Calders

One of the 6 flight legs we took on our journey

June was a lovely traveller. Many people complimented us on having such a good baby. Lucky us :)

I was so lucky--I got to go to BYU Women's Conference with Meridee and Candice while the boys babysat. It was a GREAT day!!!

The boys had a great time playing basketball in Huntsville

June liked snuggling with Aunt Heidi

June's 'second' cousin, Stella. They're about 4 months apart. Poor June just woke up (hungry) from snuggling with Heidi. This was the only photo opportunity we had before the Sumsions left.

Grandpa bough 6 new chicks

June was totally fascinated by them
A classic inquisitive look

We got the chicks out another time and the 3 little cousins (June, Hadley & Trent) got to play with them. Hadley liked to share with June and hold her hand. It was adorable.

Mom's job was saving the chicks from June's deadly grip (and preventing too many face-dives by June)

Snuggling under mama-hen's wings?

June almost got one
