June's Ballerina Birthday Party

I told June we would have a birthday party for her and asked her what she wanted her party to be like. She immediately suggested ballet. I was a little surprised she had such a fixed idea - and it was a great idea! I had a lot of fun planning and shopping for it:

Making the invites

Tutus and treats for our guests - the treats are all June's favorite snacks

Marshmallows dipped in white chocolate and pink sprinkles

June's ballet cake (pink lemonade cake and pink lemonade frosting)

Water and popcorn (including "pink princess popcorn" from our Disney Princess Cookbook)

We had a real ballerina - Kathleen - come to the birthday party and spend about an hour with the kids dancing and twirling

The kids were fascinated with her shoes (as were all of the adults). If you remember, ask June about ballerina shoes.

Jumping and dancing

Kathleen even did June's hair like a ballerina

Curtsy

The kids loved the ribbon sticks

Sorry for too many photos. It was easier to include them all than to choose my favorites....

Making princess crowns

Anson couldn't stay away from the fun

Our friends Daphne and Cici

June painted Thank-you notes for her friends. This is one she painted for Brenda, who sewed her an incredible princess dress (you'll see in the Halloween posts). It is June wearing her new pink dress. I LOVE June's human artwork.

June's Birthday

Erin mailed June a present and June was SO happy! She loves her necklace (Thanks Erin!)

Chelsea and Clint came over to celebrate

They gave June Marry Poppins as a gift so we can watch and listen to it - we watched a bit of it that night.

June was 'quite' excited for her new baby doll (gift from mommy and daddy)

She named her baby "Baby Andra"

We went to Toys'r'us on June's birthday and played in the arcade, rode the ferris wheel and walked around.

June loved the Candyland area

On our way home from Toys'r'us. Can you tell we had fun?

More Fall fun (I'm out of titles...)

Watching the Priesthood Session of General Conference with Clint

Curt rented an office space for our company (still in development phase). He spends several hours there most days.

A fun Sesame Street exhibit at the public library

Don't know who liked it more - the kids or me?

NY Transit Museum, a favorite hang-out spot

With our good friends Katie and Conner

He knows what he likes and where to find it.

Enjoying Washington Square park with Kelsey

And enjoying concord grape yogurt at Culture

Story time at the library - June and Anson love puppets

Done with dinner

Scooter lover

More part time - we love this fall weather!

He has no fears and climbs everywhere

Silly June asked to have her picture taken of her crazy hair (tutu)
