Anson: 7 Months!

This last month has been the month with the most astounding progress. Anson babbles a lot, rolls and scoots everywhere (leave the room for 30 seconds and try to find him when you come back), can sit up, feed himself, entertains himself with toys, has good hand-eye coordination and grip, etc. It's been astounding to me.

He eats more and more every day. He prefers fruits (what baby doesn't?) and loves milk. He also loves to feed himself crackers, bread and sometimes cereal (his finger-thumb coordination sometimes needs a little saliva-help). He's also cutting his first tooth (bottom left).

Anson loves being talked to and smiled at. It usually makes him chuckle and smile. His babbling often sounds just like, "Hi Da Da." Another thing that has become very obvious is that he recognizes Mommy and Daddy and sometimes has a strong preference for us - which of course makes our hearts melt.

Sleeping was somewhat of a challenge this month with all that went on: sick with a cold, week long road trip, 5 nights traveling to Switzerland, etc. I can't really blame the kid. He does pretty well so I can't complain. I was amazed at what a champ he was regardless of the 6 hour time change/jet lag.

He continues to be our little frog and kicks and kicks and kicks, especially when someone talks to him or when he's in the bathtub. He loves to swim and likes sand and grass too. Anything that will let him move around (or eat) will satisfy this happy little guy.

Still don't know if I've ever seen a happier baby than our Ansonater!
