Little June is the happiest girl alive. She LOVES to laugh and will giggle and giggle and giggle. It is contagious and you can't help but laugh along. She entertains herself pretty well with her toys, but mostly prefers exploring. Now that she can move fast on her knees, she goes everywhere Mommy lets her go (though dresses or slippery pjs can make it challenging). She pulls herself onto her feet and walks along chairs, tables, couches, etc. She is more stable now and can let herself back down instead of just falling backwards. She hasn't made any attempts to leave the comfort of these 'crutches.'
June is a charmer. She waves to everyone and smiles and giggles. Strangers talk to her constantly. Her personality is so bright and cheerful. She also likes to clap, dance, and jabber, especially after waking up in the morning or after drinking milk.
June is sometimes a great sleeper (and other times just okay). She usually sleeps from 9-10pm until 5-7am and sometimes wakes in the night just to welp a little. She usually just falls back asleep. Her naps are the same as before: a shorter morning one (1hr) and a longer afternoon one (2hr). She will nap about anywhere/anytime, but when she decides not to fall asleep, it can be tough to get her to take her nap. Luckily those incidents are few and far between.
She is a great eater and we sometimes call her a little bird because she goes to the person with the food, hoping to get a few crumbs. She happily eats most anything we give her: veggies, meats, fruit, crackers, bread, etc. She also knows when she is done eating and is firm about it. Her favorite drinking-tool is a bicycle bottle. She is a thirsty little thing and loves even just water. She has milk about 4x/day and then 2 or 3 'meals.' We've been giving her Gatinar medicine to help her bowels (basically corn-syrup). So far it is working to fight the constipation battle, though sometimes it works too well...You probably wanted to know that.
Curt and I are taking off to London today for the Olympics and leaving June with Grandma Nita. The longest I've been away from her is about 20 hours (1 night). We will miss her so much!!!!!
