We went to Annecy on Monday. It's about a 40 minute drive from home. Annecy is sort of the Venice of France, with its lovely canals. We enjoyed walking in the sunshine and eating treats (notably crepes with emmental cheese and ham). It was also fun running into the sister missionaries--including Sister Vasileva who served in our ward several months ago.
The Palais de l'Isle, built in the 12th century, was also used as a prison for some time.
