Day 2: The Zoo
Thursday was HOT! I can't remember a day when it was 95 degrees F in September. Talk about a heat wave. I felt like we were at the zoo in July. The difference: no crowds.
We have a book called "Let's Go to the Zoo." It is one of June's favorites so I naturally have it memorized. Each time we saw animals featured in the book the rhymes ran through my head.
We watched the elephant demonstration where they had a shower and ate food
The orangutans were my favorite part

The petting zoo was June's favorite part
This goat picked on Isaac and head-butted him twice. Poor guy.
When we got home June got to try Isaac's tricycle out. Her face explains it all--she was all squeals.
